Global Development Research Group (GDRG) is an independent think-tank founded by a group of economists, geographers, historians, linguists, political scientists, sociologists and specialists in cultural studies who undertake joint research initiatives aimed at developing and popularizing knowledge concerning global development. GDRG is the project’s coordinator. It’s members will provide research and training services, as well as expertise necessary to complete the project successfully. GDRG is also the author of the project’s concept. www.gdrg.org.pl Warsaw School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SWPS) was founded in 1996. At present, it has more than 11 000 students studying in five faculties: psychology, philology, humanities & social sciences, and two branch-campuses in Sopot and Wrocław. The SWPS psychology program was the first (and so far the only) such program in Poland to receive a mark of distinction from the National Accreditation Committee. The Committee has also confirmed the quality of the SWPS sociology and cultural studies programs. Since 2009 SWPS has been working with Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on volunteers recruitment program dedicated to development cooperation projects. SWPS is a leader of the project’s consortium. It provides research and teaching personnel, as well as the essential infrastructure and marketing support. Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) carries out research and disseminates findings on global power relations, security policy, development issues, international economics and Norwegian foreign policy. It works closely with Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since 2007 NUPI is listed among top 30 most influential think-tanks worldwide. NUPI’s representatives will contribute to the project with their expertise and advice. |
